This resort is slightly inland, but the beach is just a short walk away. The lack of a beachfront brings the rates down considerably, but the lower rates make it very popular. A hodgepodge of Thai, Khmer, and Chinese architectural and design flourishes are everywhere, even in the sprawling pool and surrounding patios. And yes, lots of orchids are sprinkled about the main lobby. Some rooms have direct pool access. If you want a no-smoking room, be sure to demand it when booking. Pros: interesting design influences including Khmer and Chinese; great pool. Cons: not on beach; slightly confused decor.
