This resort, on the quieter, northern end of Sairee, is a great place to get your scuba certification. The colorfully painted, traditional wooden Thai beach huts were built to 21st-century hotel standards, including clean, spacious, sunken bathrooms with stone floors. Air-conditioned standard rooms are similar to deluxe rooms but smaller and without some amenities like phones and minibars. Rooms 304 and 403 are adjacent to the sometimes noisy restaurant and beach bar. Much cheaper and more basic fan rooms are available for those strictly visiting the resort for its scuba courses. Guests at neighboring resorts, including Koh Tao Cabana, are welcome to take scuba courses here as well. Pros: feels peaceful; lots of amenities. Cons: can be noisy; some foot traffic.
