Metropole

Fodor's Review:

The grand old Metropole—the town's first luxury hotel—has a shuttle service to the closest beaches, so you can stay in town and commute to the sea. The advantages are not only cheaper accommodation, but the opportunity to visit more than just one beach. Rooms are bright, with picture windows that let in a lot of sun. A spacious lounge is a cool retreat during the day, and the karaoke bar is fun at night. The hotel's handsome Chinese restaurant serves great dim sum; for Western food, try the Metropole Café. Pros: shuttle service to beaches; good food. Cons: no Wi-Fi in rooms.
