A row of white huts follows a path beneath towering tamarind trees from the entrance of the resort, straight down to the beach. The trees provide a shady, beautiful setting and the huts are set far enough apart to make the resort feel less crowded than many of its neighbors. Doors to the huts have multicolor glass, but the rooms are otherwise simple and cozy. Al's is centrally located, on the nicest section of beach, and close to all the action. In sum, it's a great value. Pros: cheap; easy, relaxed vibe. Cons: nothing too snazzy; can feel a bit isolated.
