Chao Koh Phi Phi Lodge is a collection of basic but comfortable bungalows near Tonsai Bay. A swimming pool and family-style suites were added in 2005 renovations. Several simple fan huts survived both the tsunami and the renovation, so the place still welcomes budget travelers. Evenings, the lodge runs a popular seafood restaurant by the sea, with a nice view of the bay. Pros: budget accommodation with a lot of amenities. Cons: bungalows have gaudy exteriors.
