Whether you're relaxing in your room or chilling out in the common area, you can feel at home at this cute, personable resort. Rooms are either "Tropical"—wooden bungalows with comfortable mattresses on the floor and stylish bathrooms with bamboo walls—or "Madagascar," with regular beds and TVs, in a concrete building alongside the pool. The common area has comfortable chairs to relax in and have coffee or tea. Sabaya also has a competent spa staff. The resort is not on the beach, but it's only about a block away from a swimmable beach. Water sports can be found a short walk down the beach toward town. Driving to Sabaya, turn left at the 208-km mark along Highway 4 south. Pros: nice spa; cool concept rooms. Cons: not on the beach; unexciting pool.
