Of the guesthouses on Haad Kuat, this one, on the western end of the beach, is the best. Huts are on the hillside overlooking the beach and have large wooden decks and bright bathrooms decorated with shells. The bungalows higher up on the hill are duplexes and have great ocean views. The restaurant ($$) has a comfortable seating area with both standard wooden tables, and low tables surrounded by triangular pillows. The staff frequently hangs out with the guests in the evening when the music gets turned up, the lights turned down, and cards and beer bottles cover the tables. The beach in front is also the best spot for swimming. The bungalows only have electricity from 6 PM to 6 AM. Pros: cool views; fun staff. Cons: no a/c; no electricity during the day.
