This enormous, ultramodern restaurant is one of the most talked-about eateries in Pattaya. The menu tries to cover too much geographical territory, from sushi to Italian, but at least some of the cuisines are finely realized: brick-oven pizza with taleggio, Gorgonzola, ricotta, pecorino, and arugula, for instance, or Wagyu beef sizzled on a lava stone. Oddly enough, about the only cuisine you won't find here is Thai. Mantra's Kasbah-meets-soaring-wine-bar-meets-alien-invasion atmosphere is stunning.
