Koh Chang

Koh Chang

Koh Chang, or Elephant Island, is the largest and most developed of the 52-island archipelago that was made into Mu Koh Chang National Park in 1982 (many of these islands are not much more than sandbars). Most of Koh Chang is mountainous and it has only a few small beaches. The 30-km-long (18-mi-long) island has only nine villages and 24 km (15 mi) of road linking them, with a few villages accessible only by boat. But this little paradise has been the focus of rapid development in the past few years and the number of resorts is increasing exponentially.
