Wat Tham Cave Review

The Buddha Cave, or fully named in Thai as Wat Tham Suwan Khuha, is a large impressive cavern with a temple gate, filled with a broad and beautiful variety of Buddha statues placed in various spots, inspiring tourists to stop and relax wherever feels right to them. It's mostly known for its giant gold statue of a reclining buddha, before which a stage is set where faithful visitors can light incense and pray under his gaze. Before or after your uphill walk through the cave, you may get to meet the many gray monkeys jumping down from the top of the hill and ropey trees to be fed, so have some peanuts, bananas, or coconut handy if you want to interact with them. There are several tourist stalls around selling snacks and other items such as jewelry and souvenirs.
