A little away from the rough and tumble of Bangla Rd. but only a three-minute stroll from the beach, Salathai Resort boasts a great location and is a solid midrange option in Patong. The style and decor are distinctly Thai and all the spacious, fully equipped rooms face the pool area. Those on the first and second floor seem to offer a little more privacy, since the ground floor rooms open directly onto the pool area (a good option for young families).
