Chiang Dao Nest

Fodor's Review:

For a back-to-nature experience, this remote little resort can't be beaten. Chalets cluster at the foot of Chiang Dao's spectacular mountain, so great upland views are guaranteed. The chalets are simple but clean, and visitors don't stay long in their rooms anyway—the stunning surrounding countryside offers unlimited walking and biking trails. The British owner's Thai wife, Wicha, runs the best restaurant between Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai. Pros: total seclusion; great food; new pool installed in 2008. Cons: some rooms need refurbishing; insects.

  • Hotel Details: 16 chalets
  • In-room: Wi-Fi.
  • In-hotel: restaurant, pool, laundry service, bicycles.
  • Credit Cards: No credit cards
