Nan's top hotel is a low-rise, ranch-style complex of buildings on the outskirts of the city, set in 12 acres of gardens. Rooms overlook either the gardens or the landscaped pool, and all have private balconies. The Chumpoo-Thip restaurant serves fresh produce from the hotel's own kitchen garden, where guests can walk and learn about the herbs and spices that season Thai cuisine. Pros: clean, well-maintained pool. Cons: far from town center.
