Facing the Wang River, this lodge is in a forest. The simple but comfortable rooms are in Thai-style wooden pavilions near a small lake where you can untie a dinghy from the jetty and row around among the lotus blossoms, the ducks, and the noisy geese. The large, airy restaurant is often crammed with tour groups, but you shouldn't have a problem securing a quiet corner. To get away from the crowds, totter over the swaying bridge to the riverside restaurant and bar. The complex is 6 km (4 mi) south of Lampang. Pros: beautifully landscaped grounds. Cons: far from Lampang city center and shuttle bus is infrequent.
