Thai families escape the heat of the city by dining at this rustic restaurant built of bamboo and ancient teak and perched by the edge of a waterfall at the base of Doi Suthep mountain. Some of the tables in the multitiered dining area are so close to the cascade that diners are cooled by the spray. The Thai food is outstanding—the gaeng som fish curry is cooked in a delicious tamarind reduction, and the deep-fried pork ribs come with a sauce that blends several flavors of the Thai kitchen.
