A white stucco city mansion is home to central Chiang Mai's most elegant restaurant and bar. Reserve a table either inside the teak-floored, chandelier-lighted dining room, where a guitarist plays nightly, or in the neighboring tapas bar, a sybaritic den of plump cushions and oriental carpets. The plate of mixed tapas is a meal in itself, and the accompanying Spanish wines are superb (but expensive). The restaurant's comprehensive menu is made up of mainly Continental cuisine, with some Thai dishes; the steaks are said to be among Chiang Mai's best.

Delicious meal-- and don't miss the bbq ribs appetizer. Confusing, because the two restaurants (the house and ginger cafe)have different names, but the same menu and cooks at both.
