Climb the stairs at this busy restaurant to avoid the lunchtime crowds and take a first-floor table overlooking a garden dominated by the handsome cham cha tree that gives the place its name. Avoid the Western dishes on the menu and go for traditional Northern Thai specialties such as tom djuet, a delicious soup laced with tofu and tiny pork dumplings.
