Antique House Review

Built in 1870, this teak-beamed home is one of Chiang Mai's true treasures. It's furnished with antiques from the area's finest shops. If you like the chair you're sitting on or the table in front of you, it's possible to add to your (surprisingly modest) bill an order for a replica from a local workshop. The menu is authentic Northern cuisine—try the Hang Led pork curry, spiced up with ginger, or the grilled chicken in pandanus leaves. A big surprise is the wine list—small but with some rare finds and unusual selections.

This place was great! We had a really great, authentic Thai meal at here for an amazing price! We really enjoyed the outdoor setting, the "music" and most of all the food. Great choice. Don't let all the tourists throw you off.

the house really is a treasure and it's worth going there just for that. however, we found the food to be good, not great. i would say that the flavors were good, but the ingredients were not the best.

This is an amazing place, as long as you request to eat outside. There, you sit on these really neat floor cushions, in your own private room. The food is also superb, the pineapple rice and roast chicken being realy good.
