Longtail excursion boats

Fodor's Review:

Longtail excursion boats captained by experienced river men tie up at the Ban Sop Ruak jetty, and the B500 fee covers a 90-minute cruise into the waters of Myanmar and Laos and a stop at a Laotian market. You can take a short trip into Myanmar by visiting the Golden Triangle Paradise Resort, which sits in isolated splendor on the Burmese bank of the Mekong, about 1 km (½ mi) upstream from the Golden Triangle. The Thai immigration office at the Ban Sop Ruak jetty makes a photocopy of your passport for the Burmese authorities for B200.
