Fodor's Review:
The journey to the village of Mae Salong, near the top of a mountain and along slopes covered with fruit orchards and coffee plantations, may alone be worth the trip. Visit in December and January and you can find the area swathed in cherry blossoms. A local bus service runs from Chiang Rai to Mae Salong via Highway 1234.
