Queen Sirikit Silk Center

Queen Sirikit Silk Center Review

The best place to see the silk process in its entirety is the Queen Sirikit Silk Center just west of Surin. The agro-tourism project includes a mulberry plantation, cocoon development, silk extraction, dying, and weaving. There's also a silk museum and a shop that sells silk and mulberry products. A pink songthaew runs here regularly from the Surin Market (B12), but taking a tour with Saren Travels is a better bet; the center's workers, though eager to show visitors around, do not speak much English. fact checked "AUG" "2008"
