Fodor's Review:

The name is uninspiring, but City Lodge is actually an excellent English-owned boutique hotel. It's tastefully designed with a decidedly modern bent: heavy on pastel shades and chrome fittings, with contemporary furnishings and arresting local art. The hearty complimentary breakfast and well-stocked bar make this place a particularly good value. Pros: in nightlife district; Western steak restaurant downstairs; lively pool bar in hotel. Cons: no elevator; bar downstairs can be noisy; few rooms so may be hard to book.

Unfortunatly this hotel has changed management and is not now run to a standard expected. The rooms are not cleaned properly, the atmosphere is non existant due to the lack of customers, and the English chef was not replaced leading to a massive drop in resturant customers. All the previous regular customers have now found alternative (and cheaper) accomodation for their trips.
