Ban Chiang is a nicely furnished hotel, tastefully decorated with local paintings. The rates make it quite a bargain, and you'll be tempted to spend your savings on pampering yourself at the hotel spa. Pros: excellent and well-stocked wine cellar; inviting pool and fitness center; traditional Thai spa on premises. Cons: not close to bus and train stations; some rooms musty; not convenient for nightlife and night market.
