If you're looking for reasonably priced views over the Mekong River, this is the place. This friendly, clean, and comfortable five-story hotel can be a rewarding stay if you snag an east-facing corner room—big windows give you a magnificent view of the Mekong. The balconies make it a really good value, even if this is one of the more expensive options in Nakhon Phanom. Pros: good value for the money; river views; specialty fish (pla beuk, giant Mekong catfish) served in restaurant. Cons: carpets and furniture worn; not centrally located; on busy main road.
