It is refreshing to find a fusion restaurant that expands upon its own regional culinary traditions, rather than jumping from one world cuisine to the next. At Jumpa-Hom, in the midst of an urban jungle full of palms, lanterns, and flowing fountains full of floating reeds, you can try such Thai-Chinese creations as "noodle envelopes" (like dim sum rice noodles) stuffed with Chinese sausage and served in a sweet soy sauce. White deep-sea tiger prawns are baked in a casserole with woon sen (glass noodles) and tender whole garlic cloves. Although most customers are locals, there is an English-language menu that may just be the most eloquent in all of Thailand.
