Culture and Art Centre Review

More wax candles, as well as comprehensive and interactive exhibits concerning the history of the province and its makeup, can be found at Rajabhat University of Ubon's Culture and Art Centre. This unique white building houses in its basement an interesting museum that celebrates the lives of local wax sculptors, as well as musicians and singers who perform in the famous Isan morlam style. Morlam is traditional Laotian music with strong rhythms and dynamic vocals. The genre has been augmented with electronic keyboards, helping to keep it alive and as popular, nationally, as ever.
