Udon Thani Provincial Museum

Udon Thani Provincial Museum Review

The Udon Thani Provincial Museum, opened in January 2004, showcases most of the province's sights. The museum occupies the impressive Rachinuthit building, which was built during Rama VI's reign and was originally used as a girls' school. Divided into two floors and seven sections, the museum takes you through the history, geology, archaeology, anthropology, and urban development of the city. Sliding across the buffed golden teak floorboards from one room to the next you pass models of ethnic groups and miniatures of attractions, as well as ethnic artwork.
