This is no misnomer: The Red House has red walls, red furniture, and red bedding—almost too much red, though considering that it's a converted Chinese shophouse, the red lanterns seem particularly appropriate. There is a small seaside patio for snacks and coffee, and a rooftop garden with the best view in Bophut. A small boutique in the front sells mostly cool women's shoes and a few Chinese-style women's tops, and even the library still manages to feel as hip as the rest of the place. All four rooms have sea views—a major plus.
