North Gate
North Gate Review
Jazz aficionados call Chiang Mai Thailand's New Orleans, and some say it offers better quality music at lower prices than Bangkok. The leading jazz haunts are in the city center, some grouped around the Old City moat. The North Gate is the city's most popular music bar. Tuesdays are jam session nights, but the place is packed every night of the week.
