Fodor's Review

Take a leisurely stroll along this riverfront walk between the National Museum and Santichaiprakarn Park. The concrete walkway along the Chao Phraya is cooled by the river breeze and offers views of the life along the water. Phra Sumen Fort, one of the two remaining forts of the original 14 built under King Rama I, is in Santichaiprakarn Park. The park is a fine place to sit and watch the river. Phra Athit Road itself is an interesting street with buildings dating back more than 100 years. It has some good cafés, and at night the street comes alive with little bars and restaurants hosting live music. It's a favorite among university students.
