The Jim Thompson Thai Silk Company is a prime place for silk by the yard and ready-made clothes. The prices are high, but the staff is knowledgeable. There are numerous other locations throughout the city, such as in the Oriental Hotel, Four Seasons Hotel, Peninsula Hotel, and Central Chitlom shopping center.

    Jim Thompson Thai Silk Company Review

    For years, various 'JT' Thai Silk shops and products throughout Asia have kept this male business traveller in 'good graces' with the various women in his life : of late, the 'better half' and certain immediate family and cousins. ... Gifts that are always 'hits' include those little silk lipstick and cosmetic cases. (My favourite JT Bangkok shops are at the Four Seasons, Oriental and Peninsula : sentimental business/leisure reasons, to be sure.) ... Thank you, fine JT Company. (And happy shopping to you, and happy flying, perhaps, with that sensational Singaporean airline.)
