The Thai Red Cross established this unusual snake farm in 1923. Venom from cobras, pit vipers, and some of the other 56 types of deadly snakes found in Thailand is collected and used to make antidotes for snakebite victims. There are milking sessions at 10:30 AM on weekends and 10:30 AM and 2 PM weekdays, where you can watch the staff fearlessly handle these deadly creatures. They sometimes change the milking times, so you might want to have your hotel call and ask when it is. There are a few displays that can be viewed any time, but the milking sessions are the big reason to come here.
