Wat Rachanada (Temple of the Metal Castle)

Wat Rachanada (Temple of the Metal Castle) Review

This wat was built to resemble a mythical castle of the gods. According to legend, a wealthy and pious man built a fabulous castle, Loha Prasat, from the design laid down in Hindu mythology for the disciples of the Buddha. Wat Rachanada, meant to duplicate that castle, is the only one of its kind remaining. Outside there are stalls selling amulets that protect you from harm or increase your chances of finding love. These souvenirs tend to be expensive, but that's the price of good fortune.
