Anantara Bangkok Riverside Resort & Spa Review

Getting to the Anantara is a pleasant adventure in itself—free shuttle boats take you across the Chao Phraya from the Taksin Bridge. This is more a resort than a hotel, with many restaurants and a small mall connected. The big pool and garden area on the riverside make you feel a long way from downtown's bustle. All rooms are spacious and well furnished, but if you want a river view, remember to ask for it. The Manohra Song, an ancient rice barge converted into a floating restaurant, is berthed here. The only downside to the hotel is its distance from attractions—the shuttle boats are fun, but the trip will tack about 15 minutes onto your travel time, and traveling by road is even slower.
