The Westin is fancy-schmancy, with lots of sleek surfaces and neon lighting, and bright and shiny modern decor in the somewhat futuristic bathrooms—well, maybe not futuristic by Bangkok standards. Still, it's all quite comfortable. For those who'd prefer to workout in the privacy of their own room, the Westin offers a "Workout Deluxe Room," with a treadmill and weights. The pool is clean and simple, not the urban oasis that some hotels have, but still refreshing after a hot day. And there's definitely something to be said for staying along Sukhumvit, with all the entertainment possibilities. Pros: right near Skytrain, subway, and nightlife; very comfortable beds. Cons: on-site restaurants not great; feels overpriced compared to other nearby options.
