Big C
Big C Review
The food court on the fifth floor of the Big C shopping mall offers a staggering selection of authentic Thai (and a few Chinese) dishes at rock-bottom prices, with virtually nothing exceeding B80. Service is cafeteria-style: you choose, point, and then bring your tray to one of the tables in the middle of the bustling mall. Before you order, you'll prepay at the cashier station and receive a debit card; your selections are deducted from the balance. B200 should be plenty for two, and you can get a refund on any unspent baht after you're done. Highlights include a good version of som tam, very spicy chicken with ginger, Cantonese-style honey-roasted pork with crackly skin, and excellent sweetened Thai iced tea with milk.
