$$, North Bangkok
Fodor's Review:
Although the purple facade and brightly colored rooms of this new boutique hotel are a bit campy for some, others will welcome the opportunity to stay in a place that's different from the sleek towers and tiny guesthouses that define the city's lodging choices. Each room has been individually decorated by different artists -- styles range from art deco to romantic to quirkiness incarnate. All rooms have a lot of light, balconies that overlook the pool, minimal amounts of furniture. It's a bit north in Ari, a pleasant and well-established neighborhood; it's a five-minute walk to the Ari Skytrain station. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
