Ibis is a popular hotel chain in Asia, and the Bangkok branch lives up to the global reputation: It's clean, efficiently run, and well managed. Rooms don't have many frills but are slightly more attractive than most budget digs, decorated in au courantwarm browns, golds, and oranges. The Ibis is a 10-minute walk from the Skytrain station. Pros: good value; clean and comfortable; close to public transportation. Cons: no pool; service isn't as doting as at the big chains.

For the price this is a good alternative to some of the cheaper hotels. Spacious rooms, reasonable central location midway between Victor mon and the Cenral shopping area although it is a bit of a walk to the Skytrain. Great chinese place for breakfast a few yards away (as long as you like duck soup!)
