Ibis is a popular hotel chain in Asia, and the Bangkok branch lives up to the global reputation: It's clean, efficiently run, and well managed. Rooms don't have many frills but are slightly more attractive than most budget digs, decorated in au courant warm browns, golds, and oranges. The Ibis is a 10-minute walk from the Skytrain station.

For the price this is a good alternative to some of the cheaper hotels. Spacious rooms, reasonable central location midway between Victor mon and the Cenral shopping area although it is a bit of a walk to the Skytrain. Great chinese place for breakfast a few yards away (as long as you like duck soup!)
