Royal Orchid Sheraton Review

Of the luxury hotels along the riverfront, this 28-story palace is most popular with tour groups. All the well-appointed rooms face the river, but standard rooms tend to be long and narrow, making them feel cramped. The Thai Thara Thong restaurant is memorable, with subtle classical music accompanying your meal. Indian and Italian cuisines are also available here. A glassed-in bridge leads to the adjacent River City Shopping Complex. The hotel runs a free shuttle-bus service to the Skytrain every 30 minutes and free boat service to Saphan Taksin Station.

    Royal Orchid Sheraton Review

One of my first Bangkok hotels for work, and as of a few weeks back, she remains a friendly, solid ~ '4 star' property. ... (Mind you, with the current hotel competition in Bangkok, I can't quite put the ROS ahead of my other main BKK business - and occasional pleasure - travel hotels : Oriental, Peninsula, Shangri-La, Four Seasons, Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit and Sukhothai.) ... The ROS has always delivered, however, with a fine staff; clean beds; quiet rooms/suites (I have always requested a certain 'good karma lodging' on the 25th floor); and a most acceptable 'exec' lounge. ... All in all, a fine work hotel, and once certain 'renovations' are completed, she'll be even better. Thank you, ROS staff, for years of loyal service, joy and discretion. Savour your business (and joyous holiday) times, riverside.
