Tucked behind the Pratunam Market in the bustling garment district, the First House is an excellent value for a hotel in this price range. The compact guestrooms are nicely furnished, bright, and cheery. In the small lobby you can catch up on the latest with the complimentary newspapers, and there's a 24-hour coffee shop that serves Thai dishes. Pros: reasonably priced; attractive furniture. Cons: not much natural light in rooms; neighborhood a bit busy and loud.
