Davis Bangkok

Fodor's Review:

This fine medium-size hotel is actually two buildings: the main one and the Corner Wing, which is two doors down the street and has a separate reception and lobby. Rooms in both buildings have the same decor and amenities. The showpiece of the Davis is two Thai villas—separate houses with modern amenities, but built in traditional Thai style with beautiful wood—both top-of-the-line two- and three-bedroom structures with all the amenities, their own pool, and a price tag of B25,000 to B30,000 per day (there are big discounts for monthly stays). For humbler budgets, the rooms in the main buildings are comfortable and classy, individually decorated in styles that vary from Bali and Bombay to Thai, and even Florida. Pros: uniquely decorated rooms; beautiful pool area. Cons: not that close to public transit; uninteresting view from rooms.
