This pyramid-shaped tower certainly has a dashing profile. Rooms in the newer glass tower are modern and airy, with plenty of amenities. The use of dark wood in the older rooms lends them a more traditional ambience. Particularly attractive are those rooms overlooking the pool in the older building. The ground-floor lobby is vast, with plenty of places to have a quiet conversation. The casual Peppermill restaurant serves a range of Thai and Japanese dishes. The hotel is on a one-way soi near Sukhumvit Road; it's convenient to shops and restaurants, but it can be noisy at night because there are also several bars on this street. Pros: interesting architecture; close to Skytrain. Cons: uninspired restaurant, lacking service.
