Silom and Bang Rak

The Silom area, with a mix of tall buildings, residential streets, and entertainment areas, is Bangkok's busiest business district. Some of the city's finest hotels and restaurants are in this neighborhood, which retains some charm despite being so developed and layered in concrete. Although the entire neighborhood across the Chao Phraya River falls under the post code name and number of Bang Rak, locals are more likely to term places that are on Silom Road as Silom, on Sathorn Road as Sathorn, and call the area around the riverside Bang Rak.
