Why We Like It

Though it’s large, this upscale and elegant property still devotes themselves to personalized service. The hotel is attached to a high-end shopping complex and also sports two of the best restaurants in the city. A resort pool is great for kids and activities abound with tennis courts, fitness classes, and a running track. Not near public transit, the hotel provides a shuttle to the closest station. Clean, safe, and delightful, the Conrad hits on all notes and is great for business and recreation alike.

Surrounded by embassies and attached to a massive shopping and condominium complex, the Conrad is a stunning, high-end property that prides itself on incredible service and endless amenities. Ideal for families and business travelers alike, the hotel is a polished gem with great restaurants, a top of the line spa, and is in a safe and upscale location.

Room

Spacious rooms with city-wide views are accented with Thai art on the walls. Rooms come with complimentary pillow menus for guests to get the perfect night’s sleep as well as daily complements of water, coffee, tea, and fruit.

Bathroom

The bathrooms are replete with granite counters and large standalone tubs with window views of the Bangkok skyline. Separate showers and well-lit vanity mirrors are also standard.

Lobby

An ornate lobby reaches three-stories high with giant pillars, a sweeping staircase, and lounge areas for guests waiting on taxis.

Tip The Conrad isn’t exactly next door to any public transit options, but the hotel provides a free shuttle to and from the nearest BTS Station at Phloen Chit.

Pool

The pool has a distinctly resort feel to it with massive palm trees and ample lounge chairs. The City Terrace restaurant is pool-side and offers guests a range of international options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner in addition to fresh juices.

Spa

Near the pool on the seventh floor is Seasons Spa. Here, guests can pick and choose from a range of options with 11 treatment rooms, whirlpools, saunas, and more.

Gym

Bodyworx Fitness Center has TechnoGym machines and free weights for body-conscious builders. There is also a healthy class schedule with morning and evening yoga, step classes, and various aerobic activities.

Tip If you want a little more than your typical gym, you’re in luck. The hotel has a rooftop running track in addition to two tennis courts that are lit up at night.

Dining

There are a number of eating options in the hotel, but two restaurants stand out and are praised citywide. First is KiSara, a Japanese gem with raw and cooked options. The other is Liu, a top-rated Chinese restaurant with Dim Sum and set lunch and dinner menus.

Drinking

The Diplomat Bar is famous amongst embassy staffers for their great martinis, 4-hour Happy Hour, and live music throughout the week.

Getting Around

The Conrad is in an upscale neighborhood surrounded by embassies, condominiums, and shopping complexes--including All Seasons Place, which is attached to the hotel. Walking in this area is safe and easy at all times. The closest Skytrain station is at Phloen Chit. You can walk, but if it’s really hot, the hotel will shuttle you there and back for free. Taxis are easy to hail as this area is busy with embassy workers coming and going throughout the week.

Restaurants

For a savory food experience, head towards the Phloen Chit station and find Elements (5-minute shuttle) on the 25th floor of the Okura Prestige Hotel for French classics. In the basement of the Central Embassy mall (5-minute shuttle) is a giant food court where you can find culinary favorites like Din Tai Fung for dumplings or Eathai for mouthwatering Thai street food.

Bars

Check out the speakeasy and rooftop bar at Muse Hotel (10-minute walk) one street west of the Conrad. Stogie lovers can head down the street to CigarOne (4-minute walk) for dry martinis and Macanudo’s.
