Fodor's Review

A modern aesthetic, a pop-star clientele, and a sexy staff make this one of the city's hippest hotels. Some of the rooms are small, but they're smartly turned out, with creamy walls, pillows, and rugs offsetting the dark woods and deep browns. Though the rooms aren't dripping with high-tech gadgetry, they do have flat-screen TVs with DVD players. Glow, the all-organic restaurant, offers a surprisingly good breakfast; indulge in one of the healthy smoothies. The hotel is also home to Nahm, the highly praised Thai restaurant run by star chef David Thompson. The Touchdown at the Met package is ideal for spa-loving travelers with at least a five-hour stopover in Bangkok: you get limo service from and to the airport, use of the spa facilities, a signature massage, and a meal at Glow.
