Fodor's Review:
Perhaps the best three rooms in Bangkok are here in the gardens of Chakrabongse House. The problem is there are only three rooms, and the place is very popular, so you must book well in advance (at least a month). Located on the banks of the Chao Phraya River in an old part of the city, the rooms are in traditional Thai houses, originally built up-country and then brought to the grounds of the Chakrabongse House, which was built in 1908. The Riverside Villa and Garden Suite each offer more space and better views -- the villa has a view of Wat Arun from the bedroom -- but the Thai House is also unique and beautifully furnished. There's a sala next to the river for guests to enjoy, where Thai meals are served upon request. A minimum two-night stay is preferred.
