P Guest House Review

Stone bungalows with narrow log ceilings are in a stepped garden that leads down to the lakeside. Rooms are mainly fan-cooled with shared bathrooms, but three have air-conditioning, private bathrooms, and lake views. You can rent kayaks (B100/hour) and motorcycles (B200/day), and the owners organize treks that include a longtail boat ride on the lake to see the submerged temple, elephant riding, and rafting. The large terrace restaurant has an inexpensive Thai menu with a few Burmese dishes, as well as pastas, sandwiches, and Western breakfasts.
