Located a five minute walk from some of downtown Seoul's premier hotels, Arirang serves high-end kalbi (grilled meats) at a price to match. Though pricier than most other kalbi restaurants, the food here is top notch and the location makes it an excellent dinner choice for those staying at one of the nearby hotels. The restaurant is bright and airy—surprising considering that the main dish is beef grilled at the table. Customers can opt for tables or the more
traditional floor seating. While a good for two people, like most Korean BBQ, Arirang in best visited in a group.

Recently savoured another fine business travel experience at Arirang -- and high time to acknowledge via Fodor's. Most recent visit, week of 17 November, '13, during latest Seoul working visit. (And will add, another seamless Seoul corporate stay at the Park Hyatt -- and arrival and departure via Singapore Airlines, "J-Class"; thanks forever, superlative SQ crews and friends.) My always positive Arirang dining experiences are due in large measure
to being in the presence of fun-loving and most knowledgable and gracious South Korean business colleagues. (Quite like my Tokyo business dinners with Japanese colleagues.) As with so many Seoul (and Tokyo) business dinners, I gladly deferred to my S. Korean colleagues' suggestions and was not disappointed. One suggestion is to make early enquiry for preferred dining time; rather busy our latest evening. Seamless service and beautifully prepared cuisine; I look forward to returning, January, '14 (if not before, for meetings). Savour your Seoul dining times.
