Opened in 2005, the Park Hyatt is one of Seoul's newest and most spacious hotels. The modern rooms have traditional Asian accents giving the hotel a decidedly east-meets-west feel. The rooms offer excellent views of Seoul through the floor-to-ceiling windows that, along with the bright, sleek interiors, give guests an even greater sense of space. Following the luxury hotel trend of ever more extravagant bathrooms, even standard rooms have impressive granite-walls. While the Park Hyatt is located away from the main tourist areas north of the river, with rooms like these it's hard to see any reason to leave.

Over the past few months (most recent visit, early-mid November 2012), have experienced consistently satisfying - albeit brief - business travel stays at this fine property. All of my corporate rate bookings have entailed an upgrade to a Park Deluxe King room. To date, all rooms - and service - have been exemplary. The wondrous staff at the property's Business Centre have been invaluable with last minute and most efficient document translation
and other services. All handled with aplomb, warmth and kindness. Late check-out requests always gratefully honoured. (I've also stayed with her sisters in Tokyo and Melbourne for work over the past months/years; thanks Hyatt, for the ongoing perks and acknowledgements.) Latest late check-out most appreciated for the early evening - and always cherished - SQ16 J flight out of ICN to SFO for work and checking on the residence. Savour your Seoul times at a special property.
