Four Seasons Hotel Singapore Review

The luxuries at this quiet, refined hotel are intended to outshine the city's older, more renowned digs. Rooms are spacious, with sumptuous fabrics, Asian art, and large bathrooms. The Cantonese restaurant, Jiang-Nam Chun, prepares exotic fare and has a stunning interior, which blends art deco and art nouveau styles. Some of the tennis courts are air-conditioned, and there's a golf simulator and in-room exercise equipment. Parents can request a childproof guest room, along with a complimentary stroller or baby carrier; board and video games are available for older kids. The hotel is linked to Orchard Road via an elevated passageway to the Hilton.

    Long-standing Favourite for Business -- and Pleasure

    Recently had the pleasure of staying at this special property while our Singaporean home underwent a few days of renovations. (I've reviewed this hotel in the past for Fodor's; almost all of my previous stays at the FS Singapore had been for business.)

    Our lodging during said renovations was a one-bedroom suite. Serene setting on the 18th floor, with such gracious and unobtrusive service. Over the years, I've become good friends with several members of the hotel's management and staff. A truly well-run property.

    Should your budget allow, will highly recommend the hotel's suites, particularly if you are travelling as couple. (Most of my solo business stays at the FS SIN consisted of corporate rate bookings in superior or deluxe rooms; both of those categories were always most acceptable.)
